1997
NueHealth was founded to offer a consumer-centric and cost-effective alternative to traditional hospital-based surgical care. Through joint ventures with physicians and health systems, we began investing in, developing, and operating surgical facilities designed to reduce costs, enhance outcomes, and return clinical and financial control to physicians.

2000s
NueHealth continues to expand its footprint by developing and operating new ASCs and opening its first surgical specialty hospital, giving physicians the ability to perform more complex procedures in a specialized setting.
In 2009, the company opens Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital in Bensalem, PA, a joint venture between NueHealth, Rothman Orthopaedics, and local health system partners.

2010s
Following the enactment of the Affordable Care Act, the company expands its investment in IP and technology focused on consumerism and alternative payment models.
To support providers in managing financial risk under these models, NueHealth purchased exclusive licensing rights to the Muve® clinical program and introduced its first reinsurance product for episodic surgical bundles with a warranty.

2020s
NueHealth develops and opens ASCs in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions, while expanding its financial and clinical services to support episodic surgical care.
As part of this effort, NueHealth launched its proprietary business intelligence tool to support data-driven management and give ASC better access to key performance metrics.
