Michael Sheerin

Chief Executive Officer

Michael Sheerin is the Chief Executive Officer of NueHealth and serves on its Board of Directors. As CEO, Michael leads the company’s vision for specialty surgical care through physician-led networks and value-based payment models that prioritize economic alignment and clinical integration. His strategic focus on evidence-based care delivery, technology-driven solutions, and risk-based financial models has guided measurable improvements in patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and cost reduction for NueHealth’s payor, employer, and physician partners.

Drawing on decades of experience in both private practice and health system-employed physician models, Michael brings a comprehensive understanding of healthcare management and operations to NueHealth.

Before joining the company, Michael served as Senior Vice President at Rothman Orthopaedics, one of the nation’s largest orthopedic private practice groups. He led strategic planning and business development, overseeing Rothman’s managed services organization, surgical facilities, physician recruitment, and real estate holdings. His efforts were instrumental in driving both regional and national expansion across Rothman’s enterprise.

Prior to that, Michael spent 15 years at the University of Pennsylvania Health System as a Hospital Administrator, where he oversaw hospital and physician practice operations, physician recruitment efforts, and service line expansion. His experience managing large-scale health system operations helped shape his understanding of systemic inefficiencies and reinforced the need for transformative solutions in healthcare.

Michael resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with his wife and family. He is an avid Philadelphia sports fan and spends much of his time on the water fishing at the shore.
